It would be an understatement to say we are excited about our Summer 2016 collections. Filled with beautiful and durable outdoor furniture, rich textiles and unique salvaged pieces, Summer 2016 is filled with design treasures that evoke the feeling of a seasoned traveler who is sharing her finds. Rather than sit on this design goodness, we opted to share it with a small group of our favorite bloggers, instagrammers and design influencers. Everyone recently gathered in Los Angeles to enjoy dinner co-hosted by our Summer Collaborators, Shane Brown of Big Daddy’s Antiques and Pauline Boyd of Counterpane Quilts.
Guests dined under our sparkling Paxton Chandelier, Caleb Lanterns and Wall-Mounted Vases
The dining table was designed to take our guests, which included Nate Berkus, Nate Turner and Louise Roe, on a magical journey through three design stories inspired by the color palettes of our Leila, Shibori and Elsie dinnerware collections. Along with those collections, each table featured our beautiful hand-painted dinnerware, glassware and accessories.
The evening also celebrated our Summer Collaborators Pauline Boyd and Shane Brown. Boyd’s quilts and pillows showcase the rich tradition of American quilting and her unique approach to combining found materials. Her pieces pair silk head dresses from Asia with second-hand denim to create rich tapestries that speak to heirloom quality and forward design. Brown’s collaboration is a testament to his unique approach of combining rustic and salvaged components with new materials to create beautiful pieces of furniture. Together, Brown and Boyd represent a foraged approach to design that we are excited to present for Summer 2016.
Once seated, guests were served a a multi-course meal prepared by Heirloom LA showcasing the best of local fresh ingredients such as burrata ravioli, country chicken with napa cabbage and brussel sprouts with granny smith apples.
In addition to delicious food and inspired design, guests were treated to an indoor flower market designed by Moon Canyon Flowers. Each guest created their own special bouquet to take home.
