Hello, Sydney! A Sweet Store Opening

Did you hear the exciting news? We got together with our friends in Australia this weekend to celebrate the opening of our brand new Pottery Barn Kids store in Chatswood Chase, Sydney! On Saturday, guests were invited to try one of the four bespoke gelato creations from Gelato Messina, a local Sydney favorite. Each delectable dessert was inspired by our family of stores:

The Williams-Sonoma Choc-Chuck Cone. Reminiscent of Williams-Sonoma founder Chuck Williams’ favorite flavor, this treat featured a handmade waffle cone filled with creamy vanilla gelato dipped in Barry Callebaut and 70% cacao chocolate.

The Pottery Barn Kids Fairy Bread Popsicles. Velvety bread-and-butter-flavored gelato was coated in white chocolate ganache then dipped in sprinkles (or “hundreds and thousands” as they’re called in Australia!).

The West Elm NY Ice Cream Sandwich. Inspired by West Elm’s hometown of Brooklyn, this creative sweet featured Fair Trade espresso-coffee gelato sandwiched between chewy white chocolate and macadamia cookies.

The Pottery Barn Welcome Home Gelato. Lightly spiced apple gelato was fused with an almond crunch and a butterscotch swirl for a delicious and comforting dessert.

We’re so thrilled to be opening our second store in Australia, and we hope to see all of our friends there soon! Which special treat would you have tried? Share with us in the comments below!
