From a super sweet ice cream party to a bright robot baby shower, Jennifer Sbranti knows how to style the perfect party. Her site, Hostess with the Mostess, is home to unique themes, party printables and fun DIY ideas to help you plan any event. We caught up with the talented party stylist to find out some fun facts and tips about her festive work.
1. Favorite part of the process: Creating the graphic design
Jenn was a freelance graphic designer before she was Hostess with the Mostess, and her design roots still run deep. She tells Building Blocks that she loves coming up with the clever marketing messages and fun creative elements for each party. Check out all of her designs at her shop.
2. Best way to get started: Plan around one inspirational item
Whether it’s your child’s favorite toy or the print of a tablecloth, Jenn suggests starting your party planning around one item you love. This pirate ship could double as a beautiful centerpiece, or a graphic quilt can quickly become the pattern for invitations.
3. Best tool for a quick fix: 3-D Glue Dots
A party styling necessity, Jenn always keeps some 3-D Glue Dots on hand for any last-minute fixes. They’re great for adhering paper designs and even lightweight banners!
