Creating a chic, seaside aesthetic with a nod to Nantucket was important to Soirée Floral‘s client when designing their rehearsal dinner. The vision? A Fête en Blanc with layered textures and a neutral palette throughout. “We used gold sea fan chargers, bronze lanterns, ivory paper shell napkin rings, driftwood and varying types of white blooms. The vessels for the flowers were a mixed of vintage bottles and modern white square vases,” says the Nantucket based design studio. Keep reading and find out how Soirée Floral created this divine celebration from start to finish.
There were a few nautical elements throughout the event, including monkey’s fist knots on the table, a compass rose stamp on the menus and the brass compass escort card display. (The compasses also doubled as favors!) The escort table was designed using the same elements as the table, including an antique wrought iron anchor which grounded the display. The menu for the evening included items from local Nantucket farms and fisheries with wine pairings for each course.
The lounge area was layered with Pottery Barn pillows and lanterns, cozy pashminas and stacks of Nantucket books for guests to flip through. All of the lanterns by the pool were filled with seashells and pillar candles for a soft glow as the sun set. Love the look? Tell us, in the comment section below.
