Autumn exudes an amazing variety of colorful and textural plants and flowers — the possibilities for the perfect autumn centerpiece are just limitless!
For this inspirational shoot, I wanted to show the different simple ways one can take advantage of all the beauty that autumn offers using some of my favorite vessels from Pottery Barn: the Vintage Wood Footed Bowl, Voluminous Vases and Recycled Glass Vases.
Using these simple and lovely glass vases in different sizes and shapes and this beautiful wooden pedestal, I came up with a few centerpieces that can adorn an autumn table for any occasion — from an escort card table for a wedding, to everyday entertaining.
Here, I used dahlia, amaryllis, ilex, pepper, privette, raspberry and artichoke.
I simply grouped my flowers in a single variety and took advantage of their beauty in their individual vases clustered next to each other.
This wooden pedestal is so lovely that I decided to create a full floral arrangement in it. It’s pretty shallow, so I placed a wooden bowl on top of it and then created an arrangement inside the bowl using a floral frog. I think this makes for a lovely centerpiece or statement piece for pretty much any occasion — don’t you?
Here, I used garden rose, spray rose, ranunculus, poppy, iresine plant (the red leaves), carnation, eucalyptus, nodding abutilon, dusky bells, fuchsia, and firethorn berries.
What’s your favorite autumn centerpiece?
Just stunning! I LOVE to keep flowers and tall blooming branches around the house and would have never thought that I could get so much color and texture in the colder months. My favorite arrangement is the one on the wooden pedestal. Thank you for sharing your gift!
Thank you Helena! I’m so glad you liked this post Helena! Cheers, Kiana
Lovely as always my friend! Beautiful arrangements for my favorite season 🙂
I love unexpected flora and fauna in flower arrangements. These are truly spectacular, especially for the upcoming holiday table. Beautiful.
