Ask A Stylist – June

You asked, we answered! Each month, we ask our FacebookTwitter and Instagram fans to share their design questions with us. Then we ask one of our stylists to help you out! Here’s what they had to say this month…

What are your favorite color combos? – Ashley

We are in love with the preppy mix of Navy with happy primary colors such as magenta, yellow, aqua and green cut with lots of white. We also find that the happiest mix is the rainbow! We like to mix it all up with a fun multi colored quilt and then lick one color for the sheeting; aqua is our favorite color and we use it from the palest shade to fun Pool.

What is the best way to display and organize my jewelry? –JuliaBlog_AskAStylist_June_4

I like to do it a few ways: I love the Junk Gypsy Sweetheart Rodeo Jewelry Case which allows you to show & organize the jewels or tuck them away when needed. I also love displaying jewelry on our Scallop Statement Pinboard which comes in either white or gold.

How do I choose a print? – Leslie

A print for bedding needs to be something livable that you LOVE and reflects your personality! We have so many to choose from: If you are a preppy girl then I’d suggest our fun Cape Cod Duvet, Peyton or Trellis Twist prints and if you happen to be on the more romantic side then the Anna Paisley Duvet or the Emily and Meritt Scattered Stars Duvet would be great choices.

I have a small room, is a loft bed the best choice? – Margaret

A loft bed is a great choice if your ceilings are high enough. They free up so much space and give you the opportunity for a desk or lounge space underneath.

How do you organize pillows on your bed? – GwenBlog_AskAStylist_Jun_2

We like to start with two Euro size pillows against the headboard, followed by a pair of standard pillows that either match the sheets or the duvet. On top of that we add 2-3 decorative pillows to tie the room together. These pillows can be in a range of sizes like one 16”, and a 12×16” and/or a shaped pillow can be great mixed in. I love decorative pillows as they can be a great place to add your unique personality to your bed and they are easy and affordable to change out as your interests change.

Have a question? Ask it below, your question may just be featured next month!

1.How would I incorporate my favorite color (pool) without overdoing it?
2. How can I incorporate the Gray Peyton sheets with a touch of Pool?
3. how could I make my room look simple and clean in a small space without using a loft?
