How would you describe your style?
“I describe my style as ‘Vintage Country Farmhouse.’ I love the simplicity of country living.”
Can you tell us more about how you changed your countertops?
“We installed butcher block countertops last year when we did a kitchen remodel. However, I wanted to tone down all of the different wood tones. So, we painted the countertops in VALSPAR kitchen & bath enamel Bistro White and finished with Polycrylic in clear satin.”
We’re in love with your farmhouse sink. Did this come original to the home or did you add it?
“The Whitehaus farm sink was added last year during our kitchen remodel. It is one of my favorite additions.”
What are some of your favorite pieces in your kitchen?
“My husband and I designed our kitchen. Some of our favorite pieces (built by my husband)are the custom barnwood vent hood and farm table. However, the vintage island (found at a flea market) is our most loved and used piece in the kitchen.”
How did you decide on an all-white kitchen?
“An all-white kitchen is perfect for our small space. Different tones of white help this space seem a bit larger. The white walls and countertops are a perfect contrast to the barnwood vent hood and hard wood floors.”
