The Pottery Barn Rolling Cart Styled as a Bar Cart

We recently asked Rebekah from A&B Creative if she wanted to style our Metal Rolling Cart as a summer cocktail bar. Not only did she do that, she also styled it as a bath cart and a bedside table. You can find the bath cart on Refinery29 and the bedside table on PopSugar Home. Let’s hear what Rebekah has to say about styling the cart as a cocktail bar.

I  love colorful bar carts in people’s homes. For me, I think it’s really fun to have bright labels and a variety of glassware and trinkets, mixed with functional pieces. This cart packs a lot of storage, while not taking up too much room. The drawer is great for cocktail recipe books, a corkscrew, extra coasters, all the staples you need, but may not want as part of your display.

Having a range of glassware is always fun too; I used paper liners to go under them to add a pop of pattern. The whale cocktail shaker and bottle opener add a touch of whimsy to this eclectic set.

Three Cocktail Bar Styling Tips

  1. Mix colorful vessels and labels to create varying levels of height on the top of your cart.
  2. Group staples like straws, stirrers, etc. together to make them a part of the visual display instead of just extras.
  3. If your liquor bottles aren’t attractive (or top shelf) pour them into glass bottles with fun shapes and hang a label off of them to distinguish their contents.
