With Thanksgiving just 7 days away we are feeling craftier than ever! We were itching to bust out the DIY supplies and spend some time with the fam making something extra special to help us celebrate one of the biggest days of the year. Naturally we turned to PBteen crafter extraordinaire Laurel from A Bubbly Life blog to show us how to get extra festive this Turkey Day.
Hi PBteen, it’s Laurel from A Bubbly Life blog and I am so excited to get crafty for Turkey Day with you all today! My favorite way to decorate a Thanksgiving table is using items found in nature and giving them a sparkly spin. Last year, I created a glitter feather branch chandelier and this year I took the feathers and used them as name place cards.
Materials:
- Feathers (Choose any color you like, I went for brights this time!)
- Letter Stamps
- Ink (I chose gold and white, ink comes in a variety of colors, use whatever matches your theme!)
Directions:
Place feathers on a surface that can get a little messy – a drop cloth or a few old newspapers will do! Next simply stamp out the names of your guests, phrases for the table, or whatever else you like and you are ready to go! It’s THAT easy! (Amazing what feathers and stamps can do, right?)
Happy Thanksgiving! Be sure to check out my blog and the PBteen Pinterest board for lots more ideas!
