Lunch in Style: South Coast Plaza Pottery Barn’s Garden Show Table

We’re all about bringing the outdoors in at Pottery Barn. When the weather’s warm and the earth starts to bloom, allowing your indoor and outdoor spaces to meld seamlessly gives you a greater connection to the season.

This year, our South Coast Plaza store in Costa Mesa, California, took that idea to heart when designing this stunning table for the media kickoff luncheon during the 25th Annual South Coast Plaza Garden Show.

The show itself is an incredible sight. 75 different vendors create stunning garden installations and sell inspiring plants and tools to budding and expert gardeners. Dozens of seminars — including a keynote by John Gideon of HGTV’s Curb Appeal — allow visitors to learn more about the world of gardening.

Our visual team designed a table at the South Coast Plaza Pottery Barn that would welcome and inspire local media. The succulent idea came from the latest cover of Sunset Magazine — the media sponsor for this wonderful event. The more contemporary style of the succulents, white flowers and ferns contrasted nicely with the rustic and natural elegance of our summer lanterns and accessories.

The team worked with floral designer Jane P. Lok of White Lilac, Inc., to come up with foliage and flowers that would reflect this idea, the warmth of the season and our current designs.

All of the floral vessels, table settings and decorative accessories for the table were found at Pottery Barn. Our visual team chose a combination of classic and rustic pieces to complement the more contemporary styled floral arrangements and succulents.

The result? A stunning table that took everyone’s breath away!
