Erica at HonestlyYUM shared these lovely picnic photos on her blog recently, and we’re eager for an invite to her next picnic celebration. (Strawberry Basil Shortcake anyone?) After poring over the menu, we’re also resolving to start a regular picnicking tradition of our own, full of recipes from Erica’s picnic.
When we asked Erica why she’s a picnic fan, she told us, “I can’t think of a better way to celebrate summer than with a picnic. Whether is it’s enjoyed after spending an afternoon in a park, enjoying an outdoor concert or relaxing after a daylong excursion, a well prepared picnic can definitely be the highlight of any occasion. And putting in that extra effort to assemble homemade sandwiches, salads, desserts and cocktails, using seasonal ingredients, makes all the difference!”
