Hey y’all! My name is Dorothy from Prep In Your Step. Organization and Interior Design are two of my favorite things so collaborating with PBdorm to functionally style a room has been such a blast and I’m thrilled to walk you through the process and share my excitement with you! I have been using these pieces in my bedroom while I am home for the summer and I know that they will be perfect come time to head back to school in the fall!
One of the things I was most excited about when heading to college for the first time was designing my dorm room. A clean and fresh space feels like your own oasis on campus, plus it is the place you will spend the majority of your time! For whatever reason your dorm room will likely alternate between a light box and a dark cave at the most inconvenient times. I have fallen in love with my task lamp from PBteen to brighten my space. Whether you decide to set it on your desk or place it on a cabinet to act as a make shift armoire (as I did) this lamp will quickly become your best friend.
It is a known fact in my family that I am a pillow hoarder and it is hard not to be with all of the cute decorative pillows available especially from PBteen. I love the pop of color and fresh look they can give to a room. I have also fallen in love with my new duvet which is the perfect weight for all temperatures, a necessity in those constantly changing dorm climates. These grey and white pillows act as the perfect neutral so you can easily swap the position of them without the fear of a mismatched room.
I like to monogram as many things as possible for a special touch in my room. This warm and chic essential throw is perfect for lounging around and is so comfortable!
Lastly, I decided to spruce up an area in my room with the Ribbon Trim Monogram Pillow to make getting ready in the morning a breeze!
