Make Your Bed Day!

Guess what? Today is National Make Your Bed Day! Which has us wondering, how many of you make your bed each day? Tell us in the comments below! In honor of this holiday (which we fully support by the way), we are sharing tips for how to design a perfectly layered bed!img24o

Tip 1: SHEETING!

img17oSheets are the closest thing to your skin, so chose a set that is soft and comfortable and will make you never want to get up in the morning! Our bedding is designed to mix and match, making it easy to create a coordinated look.

Tip 2: GET A BLANKET

img53oWe bet you didn’t think to put a blanket on top of your sheets before your duvet! Depending upon the season you can choose lightweight cotton or a heavier, chunkier knit. You also can chose a blanket that coordinates or contrasts with your sheets, the decision is up to you 🙂

Tip 3: CHOOSE A DUVET FOR YOUR PERSONALITY

img17o-1As the top layer of your bed, a quilt or duvet will anchor your room. A bold solid color makes a big statement, while a playful pattern gives your space personality. The best part about the top layer is you can easily change it at anytime based on your mood 🙂

Tip 4: PILLOW TALK

img6oThe final step to a perfectly layered bed is adding some accessories to reflect your personal style!  Choose a variety of pillows to mix and match or personalize a throw! If your bedding is primarily one color, try a contrasting throw or pillow to add some dimension.

I always try to make my bed, every day. And my daughter’s. She wakes up and catches the bus before 7 am. But she does her bed on the weekends. Love the ideas and tips given! I am working on a new teenage bedroom look for my daughter. She is turning 13 and loves pink!

UGH! I do manage to pull up my sheets and make a reasonable effort to have straight covers. But if I had pretty prints like the lavender duvet, OH MY WORD. I would be like, do I need to actually sleep in the bed, or can I sleep on the floor so I don’t mess those up! !!!
