Julie at Coordinately Yours recently shared these fun Halloween vignettes from her blog, and we’re obsessing over her chic, spooky, and restrained use of Halloween decor.

Julie told us, “I tend to choose items that are very versatile. It gives me the opportunity to change my mind and use it in an alternative way at a later date, or to change our home with the seasons. That’s why I included the Elaine glass display box. It’s timeless and transitional. Currently, it’s displayed on our book cases and I can change the contents of it seasonally.”

“I also included a Pottery Barn gilded frame (from last season) because it really stands out among the other neutral elements. ”

“A few years ago, I purchase the vintage suitcase jewelry box for my husband Chris,” Julie notes. “He needed a place to keep his cuff links, ring, watches and keepsakes. It’s masculine, yet still fits in with our bedroom. ”

Love all of it! We have done the same style of Halloween decor in our home (a farmhouse from 1919) as well. Understated, neutral colors; with the lovely pop of a black spider or a tarnished tray! Thank you Julie for sharing your home…now I am headed over to your blog:)
