3 Party-Perfect Birthday Themes

Written by Jennifer Sbranti of Hostess with the Mostess for Building Blocks.

Birthday-party themes are often determined by season – pool parties in the summer, for example, or harvest parties in the fall. But don’t forget: some party themes are perfect year-round!

At Hostess with the Mostess, we see quite a few party ideas roll into our inbox daily, and I thought it’d be fun to share a peek at three themes that consistently show up throughout the year: Art, Super Hero, and Cupcakes/Baking. Here goes!

Art parties are everything a kid’s birthday party should be: creative, colorful and full of fun activities. As a bonus, you can tailor the color palette to suit girls or boys, or you can lean more gender neutral. Here are a few of my favorite ideas to bring this party to life:

POW, ZAP, WHAM! Super Hero parties are always a hit with kids – who doesn’t enjoy playing hero for a day, right? Break out some capes, masks and a few super hero treats, and you’ll be the official birthday party hero!
