Homemade Fruit Leather Recipe by Pankobunny

If you’re anything like us, we always come home from school hungry. Lunch seems like ages ago and dinner is still hours away, so a fulfilling snack (with added nutrition) is a must! That’s why we asked Cayla from Pankobunny to show us one of her favorites that include fresh fruit with a little sugar to power through the afternoon. Scroll down to see her recipe AND how you can win a WWF backpack filled with back-to-school supplies, including our Emily and Meritt Alarm Clock!

Ingredients
– 2 ½ cups fresh fruit (I used strawberry and mango)
– 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
– 2 tbsp sugar

Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

2. Line a baking sheet with plastic wrap and spread the mixture evenly onto the baking sheet so that it is 1/8 -1/4 inch-thick. Bake at 170F for 4-6 hours, until the entire surface is dry, but not crunchy. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.

3. Use scissors to clean and straighten the edges of the fruit leather, then cut it into strips. Peel the plastic wrap off the back. If desired, place a strip of wax paper on top of the fruit leather, roll it up and secure with some string. Enjoy!
