Today’s DIY is brought to you by Amy of Homey Oh My!
Hey guys, it’s resident PBteen DIYer Amy from Homey Oh My blog! There’s no better way to get into the spirit of fall than by decorating a pumpkin or two, so instead of creating an ooey gooey mess (which I must admit, is fun, too!) try adding a fun and sparkly touch to your decor this season with these gorgeous floral and glitter pumpkins! Here’s how…
Materials:
- pumpkins
- floral paper (I bought this cute paper from Rifle Paper Co.) but you can use any design you like!
- Mod Podge
- foam brush
- glitter
Step 1: Cut out the floral patterns from your floral paper.
Step 2: Apply Mod Podge with a foam brush to the pumpkin roughly where you want your first floral paper piece to go.
Step 3: Stick the floral paper on top of the Mod Podge.
Step 4: Apply Mod Podge under any edges that didn’t adhere to the pumpkin, then apply a thin layer of Mod Podge over the edges of the paper.
Step 5: Repeat steps 2-4 wherever you’d like on your pumpkin until you are happy with the floral design you’ve created.
Step 6: Apply Mod Podge to the pumpkin stem, then sprinkle on glitter.
BONUS: To complement your new floral pumpkin, apply Mod Podge on mini pumpkins and sprinkle them with glitter.
