Basic school supplies are pretty, well, basic – but that doesn’t mean they have to be boring. In fact, the simpler you buy them, the more options you’ll have for the perfect customization. Take, for instance, these pens:
Because they’re blank slates, you can give them an easy makeover with washi tape in your choice of color and pattern:
For a chic look, apply one layer of washi tape at the top end of each pen. Now you’ve got a stylish, decorative display that’s perfect for a pencil cup and coordinating desk accessories!
Don’t be afraid to get creative with different patterns and colors, as well as how you apply the tape. (Bonus: your custom pens will stand out from the rest if there’s ever a mixup at school!)
Which other school supplies would like to see made over? Let us know in the comments below!
