Whether you’re having a low-key Valentine’s Day celebration with the kids or going all out with the pink and red theme like this gorgeous kid-friendly Beijos Events party, one simple seasonal DIY that is a must for both types of events is a cupid arrow. Christine Cater, the mastermind behind the stunning floral arrangements featured in the Beijos Valentine’s Day party, shared this quick how-to with us on making cupid arrows at home. Check out the instructions below!
Red and Pink Felt
Hemp Cord or Decorative String
Cut 2.5-inch squares and 2-inch by 3.5-inch rectangles from the red and pink felt pieces.
Fold the square pieces in half to create a triangle. Then, cut a tiny opening in the center of the fold and slide one end of the stick through. Secure each arrowhead’s fold with two glue dots.
Fold the rectangle felt pieces over the other end of the stick and secure with two glue dots.
Trim the arrowhead and cut out a nock shape (the end of the arrow with feathers).
Add feather markings by cutting into the nock shape.
Tie the string into a bow around the stick as seen above. Now, have fun decorating your Valentine’s Day celebrations with cupid arrows! Don’t forget to share your celebrations with us by tagging your Instagram pics #lovempbk.
