What a wonderful town — we love New York, and that’s why we’ve included it in our new City & State Shop this season. We asked one of the Big Apple’s experts — Mackenzie Horan of Design Darling — to share her favorite NYC spots and secrets.
What do you think makes your city different from any other?
There’s an unbelievable energy about New York that I haven’t experienced anywhere else. I truly believe that if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere!
Why did you decide to live where you live? What made you fall in love with your city?
Running a small business in New York City is an experience I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world. I love the people, the culture, the food, and the feeling that I’ll probably never see everything there is to see here!
Favorite lunch spot: Café Cluny
Favorite place for a girls’ night out: Rosemary’s
Favorite local date night: Palma
Favorite place to think and wander: Central Park
Favorite secret about your city (secret spot, little known fact, etc.): The covered bridge in Beekman Place is an Instagram-worthy hidden gem!
