A Summer Bucket List

If you haven’t already seen it on Pinterest, a summer bucket list is the greatest thing to happen to the warm-weather months since the invention of sunscreen! The idea is this: sit down with your kiddos and create a list of things you’d like to do together while school is out.

Some of them can be simple: going swimming or walking to the ice cream parlor. Others can be more elaborate: an overnight camping trip or teaching the dog three new tricks! No matter which activities you choose, a summer bucket list is a fun way to plan the time off – and it also gives you some direction when you (or the kids) are bored.

There are plenty of creative ideas out there for how to keep track of your list. I thought it’d be neat to create something that’s both a to-do list and a photo display.

To make it easy, use our free printables to get started. If you want your display to resemble a summertime clothesline (like I did), use mini clothespins to hang each item up.

As you start to complete the activities, print out photos you take during the activity and hang them on the line. In the end, you’ll have a collection of wonderful summer memories to inspire even more fun!
