Welcome Your Elf on the Shelf With a Holiday Sleepover

We look forward to this magical season every year and the chance to spend extra time celebrating family traditions with our little peanuts. A tradition that’s very popular in our family is Elf on the Shelf, the “adopting” of one of Santa’s scout elves. By day, the elves spend time with its adoptive family, and at night they work as Santa’s eyes and ears letting him know about any changes on the naughty and nice list. One way we love to signal the elf’s return to our homes is with a Welcome Sleepover.  You can really make this special by getting a new pair of holiday pajamas for your little ones and warm furry sleeping bags!

Stage a fun place for them to have a holiday sleepover with their elf and don’t forget the peppermint popcorn + hot chocolate! Start the party off by reading the story of the Elf on the Shelf and talk about how the scout elf works as Santa’s eyes and ears, traveling back to the North Pole every night to report in.

We love seeing the magic light up in our children’s eyes when their elf comes to live with us and we also love that when the elf is watching they tend to be on their best behavior!
