During summer, we love to go on family hikes and little camping trips. Whether it’s an evening hike plus a picnic or actual overnight camping, there’s one thing we always love: camping food!
Today, we’re sharing a different take on the classic s’more that includes caramel, summer peaches and – of course – roasted marshmallows. This delicious, sweet-and-salty treat is perfect to make on a camping trip – or even a campout in your backyard!
Summertime Peach S’mores
What You Need:
- Peaches, halved
- Caramel syrup
- Sea salt
- Marshmallows
- Tinfoil
Step 1: Halve the peaches and remove the pits.
Step 2: Place a peach half in the middle of a tinfoil sheet. Pour caramel syrup over the top of the peach, and finish with a sprinkle of sea salt to taste.
Step 3: Fold the tinfoil over the peach to make a sealed pouch. Place over the fire for about 10-12 minutes, or until soft and warm.
Step 4: Meanwhile, have fun roasting the marshmallows!
Step 5: Pull the peach pouches off the fire and carefully open the tinfoil.
Step 6: Top the caramel peach with a roasted marshmallow.
Enjoy – we know this recipe will be an instant family-camping favorite!
Thought this might be a fun summer treat if you are building a fire and camping out. Are the girls really sleeping in a tent one night??
Miss you all mucho!
Love,
Trish
