A Glam, Golden Mantel by The Glitter Guide

Contrary to popular belief, your holiday mantel doesn’t have to be all red and green to feel festive. The stylish gold and silver palette on this beautiful mantel, styled by Caitlin Moran of Glitter Guide, proves just how versatile metallics can look with the right styling.

Moran used several of our favorite gold and silver pieces — some meant for the holidays, and some not — to design this pretty mantel vignette. Keep reading to get more details on a mantel design that could easily work in any home.

glitterguideIt sounds surprising at first, but metallics can actually act as a neutral in your home. Moran started off with a relatively neutral palette of browns and whites, but the soft golds and silver add —rather than detract — from her mantel’s details.

glitter4These Gold Herringbone Wax Candles add texture without straying from the metallic palette. We love how these look sophisticated but stay on trend, too.

glitterguidenov25-68Moran filled one of our Madeline Metal Lanterns in a warm brass with a Mercury Glass Filler Ornament Set to match our Ornament Pine Garland. These lanterns could easily sit on the mantel year round, but Moran cleverly made use of them to showcase some extra holiday spirit.
