Today’s teen bedroom makeover post is written by the incredibly talented designer Jana Bek.
Hi PBteen, Jana Bek here taking over The Stylehouse today! I’m so excited to be sharing my client, Delaney’s, room design with you! The inspiration for the design was Delaney’s existing PBteen bedding. I thought it would be best to play up the black and white combo as it’s a classic pairing that can transition with her as she grows. We layered in pops of fuchsia & coral to make the palette pop.
My goal was to make the window seat a haven where Delaney could hang out in with her girlfriends. The graphic pelmet really brings the room to life & the PBteen fur pillow adds wonderful texture.
Delaney’s nightstand was no longer the best fit for the space, and she needed additional storage so I thought the best solution was making her new dresser serve also as her nightstand. I love how the striped lampshade ties into her PBteen bedding.
I wanted to create a space that’s Delaney’s incredibly sweet & chic mom would feel comfortable sitting in. The two are very close and it seemed important for her to have a place to perch on a daily basis. It also serves as a spot Delaney can more comfortably study and read in.
And here’s the full room reveal:
I’m designing Delaney’s play space now, be sure to check back for the reveal! Here’s a sneak peek at my scheming:
