Summer To-Do List: Lawn Bowling

Entertaining, Parties | | | 2 Replies

One of the things we love about summer is the endless ideas for outdoor fun. Our current favorite obsession is lawn bowling, which is why we asked A&B Creative to show us her vision for a lawn bowling outing. She happily obliged, taking our Pottery Barn Vintage Lawn Bowling Set for a trip to Lake Merritt and the Oakland Lawn Bowling Club. All photos were shot by Kirsten Julia Photography.

Our lawn bowling set is modeled on authentic English lawn bowling sets. One of our favorite details? The white star on the blue background on the ball, as well as the other painted details on the pins.

Friends Courtney and Paige modeled for the shoot, and had a great time trying out the lawn bowling set. Courtney is an interior designer and the blogger behind Courtney out Loud, while Paige is a writer and photographer who documents street fashion on her blog STYLEpaige. Her makeup was done by Nikol Elaine.

Paige and Courtney pause for refreshments outside the Oakland Lawn Bowling Club’s clubhouse. The lawn bowling club at Lake Merritt has been in existence since 1903.

The cute Strike flag was created by Little Miss Press.
