how would you make it work with dark shiny cherry “executive suite” furniture?? i have samples of it on the wall of the small home office room right now…and wondering if i dare. I figured it balances the dark wood so it does not stick ( book cases on either side of the window…large desk with side extension and 6f hutch over it). but…..maybe it is too dark. also have some old antique trunks ( similar look to your antique trunk bar) that i was going to stack up under the window to bridge the gap between the 2 bookcases. The window has white wood 2 inch blinds. help!

Hi Barb, great question! A dark color can definitely work with dark wood, but we’d suggest balancing it with lighter accent color — maybe some white upholstery, pillows or even a gallery wall with white frames!
