Last year, we featured graphic and writer Jonathan Stiers’ amazing outdoor refresh. With a little creativity and some fabulous PB picks, he completely transformed his bland breezeway into a sleek and stylish outdoor living space. See his refresh from last year here.
This year, Stiers wanted to try something a little different. Although the crisp black and white from his design (featured above, here) was beautiful, an especially long winter left him craving some serious color, but didn’t want to totally ruin his budget.
Swapping in different hues of our Indoor/Outdoor Pillows proved to be an easy and affordable way to refresh the space’s color palette. To get extra seating, he added on to his Palmetto sectional.
Although his Palmetto ottoman originally served as a coffee table, this time Stiers wanted something more solid with a bit more style, and our Moroccan Tray Table fit the bill.
The final result is gorgeous! It’s amazing how a few simple updates can totally transform a space’s feel. Bravo!

love, love, love the black and white room
and the redux is fab, too
Two different looks to capture two different moods, both beautiful and captivating! Would love to do this at my place.
Jonathan is always inspiring. Elegant and alluring. I could spend the day on this breezeway.
No matter if some one searches for his necessary thing, thus he/she desires
to be available that in detail, therefore that thing is maintained over
here.
Jonathan’s calm and muted neutrals with the clean design worked so well with the cooler months of fall and winter. But now I’m in love with the fresh, bold colors that announce the arrival of spring! What a wonderful way to liven things up and enjoy some outdoor living. 🙂
Another great example of how to change the look of a room by adding only a few new pieces – and without spending a fortune. Cheers.
So true, Ryan Hart – that’s why I love easy pillow updates! 🙂
