How did you hit upon the color palette?

“I was inspired by natural brown eggs and love soft blue for spring. Creating a simple palette allows the food to be the focal point.”

We love your egg and tulip centerpiece! How did you accomplish this look?

“It was so easy! Using a wooden box {that grocery stores receive cheese shipments in}, I added a little fabric to build it up, added eggs, and then snipped stems of tulips a half hour before to tuck in randomly between eggs. The beauty of it is that it’s perfectly imperfect. There is no right or wrong way! The flowers lasted all day!”

We love the idea of using eggs as place cards. How did you come up with this idea?

“I’ve always thought eggs in egg cups were beautiful, but they have to serve a purpose to grace the table as space can be a commodity. Using a gold Sharpie, I wrote each guests’ name on a hardboiled egg, making them edible place cards.”

Why did you use these Pottery Barn Rustic Luxe Napkins for your place setting?

“The ruffled linen napkins I found at Pottery Barn are so simple and elegant. Everything I wanted my Easter table to be! Linen adds a hint of luxury while still feeling relaxed. ”

Why do you like to host on Easter?

“I enjoy hosting Easter because it just feels easy. With brunch, much of it can be prepared the night before, making hosting more relaxing and enjoyable and allowing me to focus on my guests.”
