A Halloween Spooktacular with Sweet Little Peanut

Written by Megan Bailey of Sweet Little Peanut for Building Blocks.

We recently hosted a fun Halloween party for little peanuts at our local Pottery Barn Kids store in Salt Lake City. We loved the opportunity to throw a festive get-together for our local friends and readers – it helped get everyone in the Halloween spirit. And with over 100 costumed kiddos and their parents, it was quite the occasion!

Whenever we throw a party, the two most important things we consider are the food and the activities. We want our party guests to enjoy their time and some sweet treats! For this party, we served Halloween-decorated sugar cookies in shapes of skulls, pumpkins, cats, witches and bats. We also offered bat cupcakes, glazed doughnuts, and little soda cans accompanied by spooky striped straws.

To keep our little friends entertained, we had face painting, beanbag/pumpkin toss games, and Halloween crafts like skull masks and paper roll creatures. To end the party, we did a fun trick-or-treat parade through the mall to show off all the costumes and also collect some treats from the other shops.

When it comes to Halloween costumes and decorations, Pottery Barn Kids always nails it on the head! We really had the best day showing off PBK’s Halloween collection and having fun with our local friends. Thank you so much to everyone who came and celebrated with us — Learn more about face painting for Halloween with my tutorials on potterybarnkids.com!
