Havenly Tells You How To Give Your Entry Some Holiday Cheer

Last week our friends at Havenly, the online interior design service, showed us a fresh approach to decorating the mantel for the holidays.  They are now back to tackle an often overlooked space – the entry.  Creating an inviting and beautiful space in your entry sets the tone for visitors for what’s to come.

Havenly took a minimalist approach to decorating the entry, giving focus to the stairwell by wrapping it in classic garland.  Not only does the garland highlight the home’s architectural details, it also welcomes guests with the nostalgic scent of pine.  For those of you that would prefer to keep things even more low maintenance, select a faux garland already wrapped in lights for a double decorating punch.

Keeping with the less is more aesthetic, Havenly lightly accessorized the staircase with large vintage brass bells and lanterns.  These accessories add a festive touch but can easily transition to other parts of the house once the holiday season is over.  Additionally, they don’t take up too much space, an important thing to consider when decorating a highly trafficked area.

On the entryway table, the Havenly designers upped the drama with a mini Christmas tree, more lanterns as well as a basket stocked with pillows and blankets for visitors who may want to get more cozy.  We love that the design does not impact the space’s functionality but merely enhances the holiday cheer of the overall house.
